The HealthCentral Network has acquired TheBody.com and TheBodyPro.com, a pair of online resources for HIV/AIDS patients and professionals, respectively.

The two sites add approximately 700,000 new unique monthly visitors to HealthCentral's roster of more than 50 condition-specific sites, as well as a host of targeted content for specialized pharmaceutical advertisers. Both TheBody.com and TheBodyPro.com offer expert research and original content about HIV prevention, treatment and management strategies, as well as support and social media tools.

Employees of Body Health Resources Corporation (the sites' parent company) will join The HealthCentral Network.--Tameka Kee
