A New "Survivor"
Apr 25, 2001, 12:00 AM
The reality series craze continues and producers continue to tap into the real world for more exciting and innovative programming. Just today, Carsey-Werner International, a division of Carsey-Werner-Mandabach, LLC, was tapped by "Survivor" executive producer Mark Burnett to represent the newest reality series, "Combat Missions," in the international marketplace. The series stars "Survivor" veteran Rudy Boesch and is scheduled to premiere in the U.S. this fall on the USA Network.
"Combat Missions" is a unique hour-long series in which a group of six-person teams made up of former members of elite combat units - such as Green Berets, Recon Marines and Navy SEALS - living on a secret military base, compete against each other in events that test the limits of physical ability, tactical strategy, and mental discipline in a series of "never before seen on television" staged military missions. In addition to the powerful mission simulations -including hostage rescues, sniper attacks and urban assaults - the series will also highlight the real-life drama occurring at the secret base.
