WebMD Picks Up Health-Centric Performance Marketer

  • September 16, 2008
WebMD has picked up Marketing Technology Solutions (MTS), a media and technology company specializing in performance-based advertising for the health community.

The health giant also gains QualityHealth.com, a site that attracts more than 5.5 million monthly visitors, as part of the $50 million cash deal.

MTS's technology powers the ad and content-targeting features on QualityHealth.com, and will likely be incorporated across WebMD's network of sites that reach over 48 million unique monthly visitors.

"Adding QualityHealth.com's proven performance-based marketing programs to the WebMD portfolio of owned-and-operated sites will enable us to deliver even greater value to our customers and capture a larger share of overall consumer marketing budgets," said Wayne Gattinella, WebMD's CEO. --Tameka Kee
