USA Today Opens Detroit Airport Store

Media companies are exploring options outside advertising to boost revenue. One area that's growing: airport stores. AP reports that the first USA Today retail store will open Wednesday at the Detroit airport. It will also have a Sports Illustrated store, offering magazines and sports accessories. USA Today plans three more stores at other airports; CNBC may open seven and The New York Times may add three to its existing lineup. Fox is also expanding, but no details.
