In First Overseas Expansion, Bloomie's To Open In Dubai

Bloomingdale's is taking its act on the road, and says it will open a store in Dubai, its first time expanding outside the U.S.
Scheduled for a February 2010 opening, the new store is being developed in partnership Al Tayer Group LLC, a UAE-based company with diversified businesses.
Bloomie's, owned by Cincinnati-based Macy's, will actually open two locations in one mall, one at 146,000 square feet, with clothing and accessories, and a 54,000-square-foot location with home furnishings.--Sarah Mahoney
