CBS Offers EyeMobile For The iPhone

CBS has launched an iPhone application that lets users upload videos and photos to the network's CBSEyeMobile.com citizen journalism site. Through the new EyeMobile app, users can update their news reports, track views, rate reports and interact with other mobile journalists.
The Associated Press took a similar step in July when it launched an iPhone app for its Mobile News Network that allows users to send firsthand reports and photos directly to AP editors. The AP is also coming out with customized versions of its news portal for other smartphones including the BlackBerry.
Other online citizen journalism projects from major news organizations include CNN's iReport service and Fox News' UReport. CBS started the EyeMobile site earlier this year.--Mark Walsh
