Yardbarker Expanding Into Non-Sports

Yardbarker, an online sports community and branded vertical ad network, has created YBN Media to support the company's expansion into non-sports categories that also deliver the male ages 18-34 demo to marketers.

YBN Media will serve as the corporate identity for the vertical ad network--which in addition to providing representation for Yardbarker's sports sites will now also include the news and entertainment sites Fark.com and the sites in the Uproxx.com Network, including FilmDrunk.com, RealTalkNY.com and WithLeather.com.

Representation deals with other entertainment sites, as well as those in other categories reaching the men 18-34 demo, are in the works, according to the company.

Advertisers on the Yardbarker Network to date include Diageo, Budweiser, NFL.com, 2K Sports, EA, and PlayStation.--Gavin O'Malley
