Bloomberg Names CEO For Interactive

Former NBC News executive Andrew Lack has been named chief executive officer of Bloomberg's television, interactive and radio operations group.

Lack's reputation grew at his time at NBC. From 1993 to 2001, he was president NBC News, where NBC became the most-watched news organization for its key shows--"NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw," "Meet the Press" and "The Today Show." For two years after that, he was president/chief operating officer for NBC, overseeing entertainment, news, including MSNBC and CNBC; NBC Stations, Sales, and broadcast & network operations.

Most recently, Lack was chairman of Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Prior to that he was CEO of Sony BMG Music Entertainment, where he oversaw all operations of the global recorded music and video company. Before NBC, Lack also worked at CBS News as an executive producer, where his shows won many awards including 16 Emmys.

Lack will report to Bloomberg L.P. President Dan Doctoroff, as do editor-in-chief Matthew Winkler and chief content officer Norman Pearlstine.--Wayne Friedman
