'Make' Magazine, NetPlus Debut Twitter Interfaces

  • October 21, 2008
Rapidly adapting to an ever-changing media landscape, marketers and publishers are exploring the instant updating service known as Twitter.

Just this week, Make magazine has announced a new way to interact with its readers through Twitter. Subscribers, readers and "Makezine" followers will be able to directly message Make at anytime with questions, comments or suggestions.

Make is devoted to the world of do-it-yourself projects, specifically within the realm of technology. The quarterly magazine is published by O'Reilly Media.

"As a publication that is wholly devoted to the exchange of ideas and information, I think Make is a perfect fit for this sort of platform." said Make Senior Editor Phil Torrone.

Separately, interactive agency NetPlus Marketing on Monday announced a call for beta testers for its new platform, code named "Platform T," created to facilitate consumer engagement on Twitter.

Platform T allows brands to build and manage Twitter updates across multiple accounts and integrate Twitter activity into overall marketing campaigns, facilitating conversation between advertisers and their target audiences.--Gavin O'Malley
