Time Warner Cable and ReplayTV, Inc. have announced that select Time Warner Cable customers in Southern California will soon be provided with ReplayTV digital video recorders and the free ReplayTV Service as part of their cable service.

The 6-month trial, which starts in August, will include a special ReplayZone, giving Time Warner Cable customers new and powerful ways to find and record the feature programming they want to view. With ReplayTV, viewers can pause, instant replay, rewind, quick-skip, frame advance and watch in slow motion their favorite sports events and TV shows.

Using ReplayTV personal television technology with the free ReplayTV Service, viewers don't have to miss their favorite programs since ReplayTV automatically searches, finds and records them for anytime playback.

Viewers can also create personal channels based on themes or shows. Every time viewers sit down to watch TV, the most current episodes of their favorite shows are available on ReplayTV.
