Y'all have heard about the concept of every employee being a "brand ambassador," right? Well, the concept seems to be traveling overseas to our friends at British Airways and Virgin
American by slow boat.
Nick Owens and Dennis Rice report that some British Airways employees are mocking passengers on a Facebook page created by "BA London Gatwick Ground
Staff." One says her biggest gripes include smelly passengers and snotty celebrities. Another complains: "They ask which gate with their stupid American accent -- aaargggh!!! Its soooo
annoying!!!!"
Calling the comments "disappointing and unwise," British Airways bosses promise to talk to the staff involved.
Virgin Atlantic,
meanwhile, has
fired 13 flight attendants who branded passengers "
chavs " on a Facebook page.
