Warner Bros. Exec Sutton Joins WebMD

Former Warner Bros. executive Richard Sutton has joined WebMD as senior vice president of sales for consumer markets.

In his new post, Sutton will lead consumer packaged goods sales efforts for the online health portal, which had 19.6 million visitors in October, according to comScore.

Sutton was most recently senior vice president of digital media sales at Warner Bros. Entertainment. During a 12-year tenure at Time Warner, he developed broadband and wireless ad programs for the media giant's domestic units and helped launch Warner Bros. online internationally.

Sutton will be based at WebMD's headquarters in Manhattan.--Mark Walsh
