NetRadio – http://www.nertradio.com - claimed five out of the six leading slots in Arbitron's February 2000 InfoStream Webcast report. NetRadio's “Hits channel” and “80's Hits” channel were ranked first and second.

International Webcaster, Virgin Radio - http://www.virginradion.co.uk - was ranked number three in the February Webcast rankings. NetRadio's “X” channel, the “Vintage Rock” channel and the “Smooth Jazz” channel were ranked fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

The InfoStream February report inlcuded some newscomers as well. Internet-only channels KNAC.com Pure Rock – http://www.knac.com - debuted at number 12; eYada.com - http://eyada.com - an all-talk Internet radio network with live and original programming debuted at number 21; and Gaybc - http://gaybc.com - a channel serving the gay and lesbian community debuted at number 30. The top ranked radio station Webcast was ABC Radio Smooth Jazz station WJZW-FM, Washington D.C. - http://www.wjzw.com - at number seven.

“NetRadio's performance in the InfoStream Webcast ratings indicates that significant numbers of consumers are tuning into Internet-only channels that allow people to get nearly any type of music they want, when they want it,” said Joan FitzGerald, director of marketing, Arbitron Internet Information Services. “KNAC.com, eYada.com and Gaybc.com are great examples of how consumers will listen online to compelling content that aren't always found on the traditional media. Yet, at the same time, many traditional radio stations such as WJZW-FM are finding their own substantial audience on the Web.” The February rankings are based on a new metric for online listening called Aggregate Tuning Hours (ATH), the sum total of all hours that listeners tune to a given channel during the month. Aggregate Tuning Hours captures the total volume of tuning to Webcasts by combining the impact of both the cumulative audience and the time they spent tuning over the course of a month.
