New Last.fm App For Android Allows Streaming Radio

  • January 26, 2009
Music recommendation engine and social network Last.fm has launched an application for the Android platform that allows users to stream radio stations, and consult up-to-date concert information.

The application allows users to access their Last.fm profile and millions of streaming tracks on Android-powered phones, and supports "background playback" so people can listen to music while you access other programs.

Last.fm has been offering an application for the iPhone / iPod Tough for about six months with the same feature set. Last.fm was acquired by CBS in May 2007 for $280 million.--Gavin O'Malley
