Paxson to Acquire Station in Jacksonville Market

Paxson Communications Corp. announced yesterday that it has reached an agreement to acquire television station WBSG TV-21 in Brunswick, Georgia serving the Jacksonville, FL DMA, the nation's 53rd largest market, pending FCC approval. WBSG TV-21 is currently a PAX TV network affiliate broadcasting family-friendly programming. With the announcement of this agreement, PAX now serves 81% of the U.S. television households, with a total of 67 owned and operated stations and 52 affiliated broadcast stations.
