SAG Ousts Exec Director, Hopes To Jump-Start Talks

SAG just had another shake-up: The board fired Doug Allen, SAG executive director, and an ally of president Alan Rosenberg. Allen's job is now split: Former SAG general counsel David White will act as the guild's interim executive director, while John T. McGuire, a senior guild adviser, will become chief contract negotiator, responsible for jump-starting stalled talks with the studios, per the Los Angeles Times. SAG actors have worked without a contract since June.
