  • The Gate Worldwide hired SHARON SHER as director of business development and PAULETTE STONE as account director.

  • CIO hired BRIAN CARLSON as editorial director/editor in chief of CIO.com.


  • Cactus promoted JEFF STRAHL to associate creative director.


  • INVISION hired MICHAEL STOECKEL as vice president, digital products. Most recently, Stoeckel was vice president, advertising innovations & operations for News Corp's Fox Interactive Media.

  • Hearst Magazines Digital Media hired CHRIS CARTER as national sales director; promoted ROSE MILLS to Midwest director of Hearst Magazines Digital Media; and DAVE WOODRUFF, group advertising director in Detroit for Hearst Integrated Media, will add sales responsibility for Digital Media to his role.

  • Oprah Winfrey and Discovery Communications tapped ROBIN SCHWARTZ as president for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. Schwartz is currently president of Regency Television in Los Angeles.
