You can now buy a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid mid-sized car for -- get this -- $15,000. Not. Evidently, an email stating as much has gotten enough attention to compel a response from Ford saying that there is, in fact, no "special program" to sell 500 2010 Fusion Hybrids for $15,500 each.

Says Ford: "The offer is not legitimate and the email is a hoax. Also, the sales manager listed in the email is not a company employee."

Actually, the MSRP for the car, which gets around 41 mpg in the city, is $27,270.--Karl Greenberg
