ABC Debuts Fall Shows With Less Commercials

  • September 22, 2009
ABC is debuting eight new prime-time shows this fall and cutting back on commercials for the series' premieres, reports the Los Angeles Times. New shows "Cougar Town," "The Middle," "FlashForward" and "Eastwick." The first ad break is being eliminated in the hopes more viewers will stick with the program. That means more content; comedies are three minutes longer and dramas as much as five.
