PennMedia, one of the Internet's largest advertising networks for e-mail newsletters, began the New Year with its daily subscriber base topping the 50 million mark, it was announced today. As of
January 2, total subscribers numbered 50,564,384. In reaching this milestone, PennMedia has seen the number of subscribers to its popular opt-in newsletters grow by 326% in the last year, while the
number of newsletters in the network increased 208%, to 912 from 296. In January 2000, PennMedia executives had forecasted that their subscriber base would be 22 million at this time.
