Newsweek's National Ad Rates Rising 4.0% for 2001

Newsweek's national advertising rates will increase four percent in 2001, U.S. Publisher Carolyn Wall announced today. New one-time national ad rates become effective with the Jan. 8, 2001, issue (on newsstands Monday, Jan. 1). The new rates are $174,075 for a four-color page and $111,895 for a black & white page. Newsweek's U.S. circulation rate base remains 3.1 million. Its current U.S. circulation is 3,138,460, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulation first-half 2000. U.S. readership is 19,031,000 total adults, according to Mediamark Research Inc., Fall, 2000.
