Personal robots could be the latest trend in consumer electronics. According to ABI Research, the personal robotics market, which stands at about $1.16 billion in 2009, will be worth $5.26 billion
worldwide by 2015. (ABI defines personal robotics as products that have some intelligence, interface with their environment through sensors, and perform a desired function, such as security,
entertainment or education.) According to the research company, North America will be the largest market for robotics, followed by Asia-Pacific.
