Definition 6 Names New York Interactive Head
Wolchock will be expected to oversee day-to-day business in New York, while developing the range and scope of the agency's integrated marketing services, with a particular focus on those resources made available by the recent acquisition of video and audio production firm Creative Bubble.
Rather than hyper-specialization, Wolchock emphasized Definition 6's strengths across a wide range of areas.
"From high-level integrated interactive strategy to our extensive subject matter expertise in areas like search, mobile or video, to our deep technology experience and infrastructure, we're really one of those agencies that can do it all," Wolchock said of his new employer. "Definition 6 is positioning itself as the first true integrated interactive agency."
Before joining Definition 6, Wolchock held various senior management and executive positions, including vice president of sales for Coastal Administrative Services, and chief operating officer of online video production and consulting company EventStreams.
At EventStreams -- where he managed day-to-day operations and directed assorted sales and marketing activities -- Wolchock is credited with achieving year-over-year growth of 100% for three consecutive years.
Wolchock's strategic consulting background, meanwhile, includes work with clients including Coca-Cola, UPS, The United Way and Cox Communications.
Clients of Definition 6 include Nickelodeon, VeriFone, Cox, La Quinta Inn & Suites, and Wendy's/Arby's Group.
Just last month, on the heels of its acquisition of Creative Bubble, Definition 6 bought PR and Web services firm Leach Communications. Terms were not disclosed.
This summer, Definition 6 received $15 million from PE firm Navigation Capital Partners.
