In "Organics Watchdog Takes Aim At Sara Lee Campaign," it was correctly noted that the FDA had issued one ruling stating the high-fructose corn syrup should not be described as "natural"; however, the FDA subsequently told the Corn Manufacturers Association that use of the term would be acceptable, assuming no use of synthetic ingredients.

 

The syrup does not contain artificial or synthetic ingredients, according to the association.--Karlene Lukovitz
