'Global Golf Post' Masters Interactive Connection

Golf Post

Digital publishing provider Texterity has teamed with Global Golf Post, a weekly online magazine, to turn its Masters Preview Issue into an interactive experience. The 2010 Masters kicks off its competitive rounds April 8.

Designed like a scrapbook, the special digital issue covers tournament highlights and features memories from celebrated players such as Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman and Tiger Woods.

Readers can add their own Masters memories on Twitter and Facebook using the #mastersmemories hashtag. The conversations will be aggregated on a Masters Tweet Board. The effort connects golf enthusiasts with others; the 10 most creative entries will be awarded a dozen Nike golf balls.

Nike Golf is the exclusive sponsor of the Masters Preview Issue.

Jim Nugent, president and publisher of Global Golf Post, states: "We've already attracted tens of thousands of subscribers in just three months. By offering more than a magazine, we think it will become the destination for golf news and information."

GGP's Masters preview is the first of six special issues this year.

Global Golf Post includes rich media, links to advertiser Web sites and social-media tools to build an ongoing, often passionate, golf community.
