'Coke Happiness Machine' Version Airs On 'Idol'

  • May 25, 2010
Coke aired a :30 spot during during "American Idol" finale Tuesday based on a two-minute-long video, "Coke Happiness Machine," that has gotten nearly 2.3 million views on YouTube since being posted in January.

Definition 6 worked with Coca-Cola to create the viral video to spread happiness across a college campus -- complementing Coke's global "Open Happiness" advertising campaign.

During the video shoot, unsuspecting college students were surprised by small "doses" of happiness - ranging from fresh flowers and piping-hot pizza to balloon animals and a 6-foot sub -- that were dispensed from our modified Coke machine. Happy reactions were captured via five hidden cameras.--Nina Lentini
