Jeep has a new iPhone app called TripCast, for trip planning, electronic scrapbook of one's travels, photo, video and audio clip uploads and social-media connections.

The application, which is free, also has a "Points of Adventure" function listing some 250,000 outdoor recreation spots in the U.S. TripCast is compatible with 3G, 3GS and 4G iPhones. There is also a Web site at jeeptripcast.com.

The program can be had at JeepTripCast.com or from the iTunes App Store using "Jeep" or "Trip" as search words.--Karl Greenberg
