Ford Bows Online Store For Licensed Merchandise

  • November 2, 2010
Ford has launched a new online Web store for licensed merchandise. The site, www.store.ford.com, links to eBay Motors' online store that offers products at a stated price for customers shopping on the U.S. version of the eBay site. Ford says that in the coming months, links to more global eBay Motors stores will be added, and each online store will reflect the vehicles and brands that are most popular in its corresponding region.

The store, developed with ChannelAdvisor, a software and services provider, has licensees' products aggregated in one store on eBay. The automaker says the concept is to make the site "one-stop shopping for Ford fans," per a release. The automaker, which launched the site at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, revealed that a pool table shaped like a Mustang will be on display on the Ford stand. Ford will auction the table at the show, with proceeds benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
