Fox Wins Tuesday With 'Glee,' NBC Improves

Glee

In this Thanksgiving to Christmas holiday period, not much changed in the most recent Tuesday in December: Fox's "Glee" had another strong performance.

"Glee" remained Tuesday's top show with a Nielsen 4.4 rating/13 share among 18-49 viewers, down from a 4.6 rating the week before. Fox's 9 p.m. comedy combo of "Raising Hope" and "Running Wilde" pulled in a decent 2.3/6 -- up from a 2.1 rating the week before.

This gave Fox a 3.3/9 for the evening, which was the same 3.3 rating of a week ago.

CBS -- which usually competes strongly with Fox, sat out the night with repeats of "NCIS," "NCIS: Los Angeles" -- and "The Good Wife," cutting its ratings in half to a 1.7/5 from a 3.5 rating the week before.

All this gave a bit more breathing room to NBC, which moved into second place with a 2.7/8. "Biggest Loser" at 9 p.m. earned a 3.0/8; and "Loser" at 10 p.m. rose a 3.2/9 -- both slight increases from the week before. "Minute to Win It," earlier in the evening, grabbed a 1.9/5 -- about the same as the "Christmas In Rockefeller Center" special of a week before.

ABC did well with "Charlie Brown Christmas" -- at a 2.6/8, its best-rated show of the night.

But its regularly scheduled series continue to be under the two rating mark. "No Ordinary Family" earned a 1.9/5, the same number as the week before. "Detroit 1-8-7" sank to a 1.4/4, down from a 1.6 rating the week before. All this brought ABC to a 2.0/6 -- up from the 1.9 rating of a week ago.

Univision scored a 1.7/5, up from a 1.6 rating the week before. CW took a 1.0/3, up from a 0.8 rating. Among its more core 18-34 viewers, CW earned a 1.3/4.
