Yanover Exits At Disney Interactive

Amid broader restructuring at the Disney Interactive Media Group, Disney Online EVP and Managing Director Paul Yanover said Friday he was leaving the company.
"I am so proud of the enormous accomplishments we have made together in such a short period of time," Yanover said in an internal email obtained by the Los Angeles Times.
Added Yanover: "It is hard to believe how much has happened in these past few years including a total re-launch of Disney.com and the building out of our Moms' network, to significant growth in business results -- We have made a huge impact."
The departure of Yanover, who oversees Disney.com along with the company's various Web properties, comes on the heels of several other departures, including that of video game exec Graham Hopper, who left late last month.
Disney Interactive is now led by co-presidents John Pleasants and Jimmy Pitaro, who recently took the reins from longtime DIMG chief Steve Wadsworth.
Pitaro, an experienced Internet executive who had recently left Yahoo, now oversees Disney Online, the home of Disney branded Web and social media sites.
As co-president of Disney Interactive Media Group, John Pleasants, the CEO of Playdom, the online game company, will continue to run it.
In an interview in October, Disney Chief Executive Robert Iger said he believed the structural changes at the top of the division were needed to "create a real business in this space."
For the company's fiscal fourth quarter ended October 2, Disney said interactive media revenues increased 7% to $761 million, while operating results improved 21% to a loss of $234 million.
For the quarter, revenues increased 20% to $188 million and operating results improved 9% to a loss of $104 million.
