NBA, 'Voice' Net Strong Returns

NBA-Finals

ABC grabbed big numbers for game four of the NBA Finals -- up almost 20% over last year's game four. Still, NBC's potent Tuesday night lineup didn't go away quietly.

ABC's NBA Finals game four between the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat rocketed viewership to a big Nielsen 5.5 rating/15 share among 18-49ers. A year ago game, four of the Boston Celtics-Los Angeles Lakers series scored a 4.7 rating.

Even with big ABC numbers, NBC's "The Voice" earned a 4.6/13 and earlier in the evening "America's Got Talent" pulled in a strong 3.6/12. Both shows were down some versus a week before, when they were against game one of the NBA Finals.

A week ago, "The Voice" was at a 4.9 rating and "Talent" (for its premiere) was at a 4.3 rating. Last week, the first ABC NBA Finals game scored a 5.6 rating among 18-49 viewers. Then ABC and NBC tied with a 4.5 rating. This week ABC got to a 4.5/13 for ABC and NBC, a 4.2/12.

CBS was in repeats, and Fox was as well, except for "Master Chef" which took in a 1.9/6, up 6% from its Monday season premiere. Fox came after NBC on the night with a 1.5/4; Univision, a 1.3/4; CBS, a 1.2/4; and CW, 0.3/1.
