Coors Light Picks Winner In MC Competition
PyInfamous, also known as Jason Thompson of Jackson, Miss., will open for Pac Div and N.E.R.D. at the Search for the Coldest national tour's final stop, an invitation-only event July 2 at the New Orleans House of Blues, and receive $10,000 in studio time from Universal Music Group, the world's leading music company.
Since March, over 3,000 MCs have showcased their skills at www.searchforthecoldest.com, and fans cast more than 260,000 online votes during the course of the contest. Grammy-award winning producer/songwriter Bryan-Michael Cox, producer/radio personality DJ Khaled and Pac Div judged contestants in early rounds.
The Coors Light Search for the Coldest tour made stops in Atlanta, Baltimore and New York earlier this year and the final stop will be on July 2 in New Orleans during the Essence Music Festival weekend.--Tanya Irwin
