'Real Housewives' Goes Live in 3 Cities

Bravo is taking its "Real Housewives" franchise on the road. In a live tour, cast members from the various incarnations will appear on stage together and speak about drama on their respective series, while taking questions.

In October, "The Real Housewives Live Tour" will make stops in the Atlantic City, Chicago and Atlanta markets, with a matinee and evening show in each. Tickets (base price $49.50) go on sale later this week, but devotees can upgrade to a $170 "red carpet package" that includes admission to a cocktail reception with the cast before the event, a chance to walk the red carpet and "a limited edition tour laminate."

None of the 12 housewives participating in the tour will appear in more than one city, so devoted fans may travel to all three shows. All six current "Real Housewives" series on Bravo -- set in Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Miami, Orange County, New Jersey and New York -- will be represented. (A version of the show set in D.C. was cancelled after one season.)

The tour is the latest extension for the brand that is also in broadcast syndication and has also gone international.

Ellen Stone, Bravo's senior vice president of marketing, stated that the tour offers fans "a unique, hands-on experience with their favorite cast members."

Entertainment marketing firm Ideation Farm and Reach, LLC, which has experience in music tours and has worked with the likes of CMT and the Country Music Association, will co-produce the tour.

"The Real Housewives of Orange County," which finished season six earlier this year, started the franchise in 2006 -- as it took some inspiration from the popularity at the time of ABC's "Desperate Housewives" and MTV's successful teen reality show based in Orange County.
