Google Analytics is a ubiquitous presence in search marketing, but is less well-known as a force in social media. But Google hopes that will change, according to Phil Mui, group product manager for Google Analytics. Mui also noted that Google has a "small" social network, Google+, which the company hopes will grow in step with its social analytics service.
