Burger King Repackages Meals To Win Over Kids

  • November 7, 2011

Burger King is moving its kids’ meals from bags to boxes, giving all kids paper crowns (whether or not they  buy the meals), and introducing other engagement activities to revive its flagging sales within this critical segment.

The meals boxes in the new BK Crown meals program feature the crown on top, and toys and games inside.

In addition, kids can go to BKCrown.com to play interactive games, win prizes and determine which charity a one-cent-per-meal donation from BK will go to (the Wildlife Conservation Society, National Parks Conservation Association, DonorsChoose.org or the Have It Your Way Foundation)

To publicize the repositioned kids’ meals, Burger King today floated a 60-foot, custom-made aluminum BK crown down the Hudson River, within eyeshot of the Statue of Liberty, reported USA Today.
