Radio Ad Spend Climbs 2% In Q3, Marks 7th Consecutive Upward Quarter

Advertisers increased their spending on U.S. radio outlets 2% to $4.527 billion during the third quarter, making the seventh consecutive quarter of upward ad spending for the medium, according to results of the Radio Advertising Bureau's quarterly tracking report.

Radio ad spending also rose 2% to $12.891 billion for the first nine months of 2011.

"The positive growth we've seen over the twenty-one month period is unprecedented since the late 1990's," stated RAB president-CEO Jeff Haley.
