Adobe Closes On Efficient Frontier, Unveils 'Aggressive' Integration Plan

Adobe Systems this morning said it completed its estimated $400 million acquisition of privately held search, social and display ad marketing firm Efficient Frontier. Adobe said it would focus on “aggressively” integrating Efficient Frontier’s capabilities into its Digital Marketing Suite, which currently serves more than 5,000 clients processing about 5 trillion digital impressions annually.

Adobe said the integration would benefit both “enterprise” clients, as well as ad agencies, and said details would be unveiled during the Adobe Digital Marketing Summit March 20-23 in Sal Lake City.

Adobe said Efficient Frontier President-CEO David Karnstedt, “ will continue to focus on advertising technologies for Adobe, as an instrumental part of the Digital Marketing Business,” but did not explicitly say what his title or role would be now that the acquisition is completed.
