Motricity Taps Stalzer To Lead Mobile Advertising

  • January 24, 2012

Motricity, which last week announced shutting down its Asia operations amid a broader restructuring, has hired Richard Stalzer as its president of mobile marketing and advertising. In the new role, he will oversee all aspects of the company’s mobile ad business, including sales, advertising operations, ad network, product and technology direction.

Stalzer was previously COO of Education Dynamics, which helps higher education institutions find, enroll and retain student. Prior to that, he was president of advertising solutions at InterActive Corp. As part of its reorganization efforts, Motricity said it would focus on providing service to North American wireless carriers, as well as the mobile advertising space. The company's stock has plummeted from a high of $23 to less than a dollar in the last year, following a series of weak earnings reports and management reshuffling.
