TLA Worldwide, Focused On Baseball

  • January 23, 2012

Legacy Sports Group (Legacy), a baseball representation business, and The Agency Sports Management (The Agency), a full-service marketing firm are merging to make TLA Worldwide, plc, an athlete representation and sports marketing business.

The companies say the goal of the new entity is professional baseball. To wit, TLA will be an integrated representation and marketing services agency with an on-field focus.

TLA Worldwide was co-founded by CEO Mike Principe and Non-Executive Chairman Bart Campbell. “TLA’s on-field focus on professional baseball stems from the industry’s strong underlying fundamentals and our belief that we can quickly become a recognized leader in the business of that sport," said Principe in a statement.

Seven-year-old Legacy has, among other baseball players, 13 MLB All Stars in its roster. The Agency, which is based in NYC and founded in 2000, reps high-profile personalities and brands, including but not limited to football, baseball, Olympics and golf for broadcasting, coaching, and endorsement partnerships, per the firm.

The release says TLA, though focused on the diamond, will represent over 225 clients, including people in broadcasting, coaching, golf and talent marketing, Olympians and other personalities, from offices in New York, Newport Beach, Houston, San Francisco, Charleston and London.--Karl Greenberg
