Quick: How Many People Are Talking About Mac & Cheese Right Now?

According to Melissa Goodis, interactive associated media director at CP+B knows, and she just shared it with attendees at the Social Media Insider Summit.

“You’d be surprised that there are hundreds of people talking about mac and cheese every minute,” she disclosed, adding that armed with that knowledge, CP+B developed an innovative,, "narrowcast" Twitter campaign for Kraft’s Mac & Cheese that enabled them to magnify there cheesy discussions by tweeting them to others.

That “Mac & Jinx” campaign leveraged the value of mac & cheese as a “trending topic,” and scored 1.55 million “participants” on Twitter. You know, I’m just wondering how many of those were college students residing in dorms?
