WPP this morning announced a reorganization of some of its digital design shops, naming Shane Atchison CEO of Possible Worldwide, and appointing Trevor Kaufman chairman.Atchison was CEO and co-founder of ZAAZ, which most recently has been aligned with WPP's Wunderman unit.
The actual reorganization was a little vague, because according to the announcement, Atchison will "continue to lead Zaaz," even as he is CEO of Possible. A WPP spokesperson said the two shops would be part of "one family," but that Zaaz would continue to operate as an independent unit.
WPP created possible a couple of years ago by rolling up several digital units -- principally Schematic and Bridge.
According to the announcement, Zaaz will continue its "strong relationship with Wunderman."
