Scripps Networks Buys Travel Channel International

Scripps Networks Interactive will buy U.K.-based Travel Channel International Ltd. for $103 million, in a deal set for completion in Q2.

Scripps already owns the U.S.-based Travel Channel; this new acquisition will provide original travel programming in 91 countries, distributed in 20 languages throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
