Vitrue Adds Instagram Tab For Facebook Pages

Social media marketing firm Vitrue has added a new service that lets companies integrate Instagram photos into Facebook brand pages. An Instagram tab module in its Social Relationship Management (SRM) platform can be embedded in a page and automatically display selected photos that people can “like,” post comments on and share with friends. Vitrue recently added a similar feature for brining Pinterest content into Facebook pages.

The move also comes a day after Facebook announced it will automatically display uploaded photos at the highest possible resolution and with a full-screen viewing option. Facebook promises photos will display as much as four times bigger on a desktop screen. But the new photo-viewing options for now work only in the latest Chrome and Firefox browsers.

With growing competition from the likes of Pinterest and Instagram, Facebook wants to maintain its centrol role in photo-sharing online. It also encourages brands to use photos and video in posts since they tend to generate higher engagement than text-only content.

The Instagram tab app exists for months already. Virtue is 4th in line. INK361 launched a similar app with more functionality. Check it out: http://apps.facebook.com/inkthreesixtyone/
Both for fan pages and user profiles.
