Another sport, another chance to choose the cover athlete for the corresponding EA Sports game.

EA Sports has opened voting to pick the cover athlete for its NHL 13 title. In the contest (“presented by BlackBerry”), fans will be given the opportunity to vote for a professional player to appear on the cover of the game when it comes out later this year. The bracket-style contest begins with 60 players. A winner will be selected by early June.

In recent years, EA Sports has opened up such fan voting on nearly all of its franchise titles including NCAA Football, Madden and Golf.
