Piaggio's Moto Guzzi USA motorcycle brand has launched a new “Moto Guzzi Originals” microsite with a style-centered theme, aiming to bring in younger urban riders. The site,
www.motoguzzioriginals.com, talks about Moto Guzzi's heritage and innovations, which is delineated by the brand’s designers, owners and enthusiasts.
The site also introduces visitors
to "original" brands and products. A consumer content feature invites users to contribute and share their own “originals” content via Twitter @MotoGuzzi, a new Facebook app at
www.facebook.com/MotoGuzziUSA or in a www.motoguzzioriginals.com photo gallery.
Said Melissa R. MacCaull, VP marketing, Piaggio Group Americas in a statement, “We want
www.motoguzzioriginals.com to be an inspiration for the next generation of riders as well as anyone who values the timeless appeal of brands and products that stand apart thanks to their originality
and high quality craftsmanship.”
The site has a "Moto Guzzi Originals Dialogue" blog with posts by Guzzi and category experts including Enrico Cantoni, one of original engineers
of the Moto Guzzi engine of 1955, and V8 engine in the Otto Cilindri. Miguel Galluzzi, director of Piaggio’s Advanced Design Center also blogs. A series of Guzzi
“like-minded” products, brands and services are also featured on the blog.
There is also, of course, a gallery of Moto Guzzi bikes. The site also has a promotion dangling a
