AAMCO Launches 50th Anniversary TV Campaign

Transmission service chain AAMCO is launching an advertising campaign touting its 50th anniversary. The effort comprises two humorous TV spots showing vintage images to tout the company's 50 years doing total car care. The ads break May 21.

The new spots are the third iteration of “We Hear You” featuring AAMCO customers mimicking noises their cars are making at AAMCO centers. One ad follows the same couple from 1963 through today, in time-appropriate ages, hairstyles and apparel as they visit AAMCO dealerships. The couple vocalizes noises hoping to obtain an expert diagnosis from the technicians.

The second spot promotes the idea that if you trust AAMCO for the transmission why not let them fix the rest. Conceptually, the spot pushes that simple question by demonstrating examples of people you would never trust to do the job correctly.
