Director Martin Scorcese is set to turn to the Rolls-Royce saga. Reportedly, his next film will be about the luxury brand's early years and the people who transformed Rolls into as much a legend as an automobile company. He will team with Britain’s Lord Attenborough – himself best known for the Academy Award winner, “Gandhi.” Expect illicit love affairs, fancy costumes, possible explosions. The film is set to follow the lives of founders Charles Rolls and Henry Royce, as well as Eleanor Thornton, who was the model for the “Spirit of Ecstasy” that sits atop the car's hood. Will the famed luxury brand market around the film? No word.
