'X Factor,' 'Glee' Get Early Premieres, 'Mob Doctor' Debuts In Fall
Fox won't be as aggressive about its new fall season debuts, compared to what NBC recently announced. Only Fox's "X Factor" and "Glee" will have their season premieres before the
official season begins.
"X Factor," which somewhat underwhelmed expectations a year ago for Fox, is still the network leader among key 18-49 viewers. This season, "X Factor"
will have a two-night season premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 12 and Thursday, Sept. 13. "Glee" will start at 9 p.m. on Sept. 13, in its new night and time period.
Fox gets rolling
the week after with "Bones" on Monday at 8 p.m. and new show "The Mob Doctor" at 9 p.m.
The week after that, Tuesday brings two new episodes of hit comedy "New Girl" -- the
first, at 8 p.m., is a "special" for Nielsen notation. The second is labeled "season premiere" at 9 p.m. Both "Girl" episodes will help launch two shows: "Ben and Kate" at 8:30 p.m and "The
Mindy Project" at 9:30 p.m.
"Raising Hope" works its way back into the schedule a week later on Oct. 2, Tuesday at 8 p.m. Last season, rookie drama "Touch" comes back Oct.
26.
NBC previously announced a number of pre-season starts for new and existing shows, including commercial-free starts to two new comedies, in part to gain some marketing push
from its late August airing of the London Summer Olympics.
