Kraft announced that once it splits into two companies later this year, its international snacking business, Mondelez International, will have its own headquarters in Deerfield, Ill. 

The North American grocery business, to retain the name Kraft Foods, will remain in Northfield, Ill.

Kraft said it chose the 105,000-square-foot Deerfield location for its proximity to the airport and because it will not pose a significant commutation difficulty for the approximately 400 employees who will be relocated from the current Northfield HQ to Deerfield.
