Tapjoy and Kontagent Form Strategic Partnership

Two San Francisco companies, Tapjoy and Kontagent, Wednesday announced a partnership that will strengthen both of their roles in the mobile app industry. Tapjoy, a mobile advertising platform, will receive data about users from Kontagent to be used for mobile app developers, marketers, and producers.

When asked if there was anything to both companies being from San Fransisco, Pete Dille, CMO of Tapjoy said, "In this case, it's merely a coincidence that we're both based in San Francisco." But he did add, "We're always looking for ways to support our local business community."

“Tapjoy is excited to partner with Kontagent,” said Mihir Shah, Tapjoy’s CEO in an earlier statement. Shah said that the partnership will allow Tapjoy to “provide more solutions to help developers improve their acquisition and retention.”

Kontagent’s CEO, Jeff Tseng, shares Shah’s excitement. “We couldn’t be more pleased than to partner with Tapjoy, another leader in the mobile space,” he said in the statement.

Dille said, "The partnership will enable us to produce new products and services that are true game changers for the industry." The companies will release more details about the partnership in the coming weeks.
